Stalls
The streets of Newent are filled with stall holders from local shops, producers and organisations. You'll find things to buy, games to play, entertainment to see and information to read.

If you fancy something different check out the trade stalls along the streets. Art, pottery, jewellery and fashion can be found here. Something distinctive as a gift or as a treat for yourself.

Gardening is also popular in the Newent area, with several successful plant and garden centres situated locally. You will find a great selection of stalls selling plants of all shapes and sizes. Why not pick something different for your garden as you browse through the town.
Don't forget to visit the church - St Mary's church dates back to 12th century and boasts the largest unsupported wooden ceiling in the country and a locally built church organ which is of critical acclaim.

For the 2012 Onion Fayre the church was filled with a magnificent collection of wedding dresses - old and new, silk, pearls and embroidery. Something different is planned for 2013 - details in due course! Tea, coffee and cake will also be served so you can have a rest from the hustle and bustle of the streets and enjoy the exhibition.
