Directions to the Newent Onion Fayre
From Gloucester
Out of the City Westwards on the A40. Take the B4215 through Highnam to Newent. When you reach Newent:
Cars- fork left towards the town following the car park signs. Sat nav: GL18 1BZ
Coaches- do not fork left to the town, but continue round the by-pass to the traffic lights. Turn left here and follow car park signs.
(Stallholders setting up in the morning please note there will be a one way system in operation. Please enter town from this side)
From Ross
Cars and Coaches
Head East on the M50 and leave at junction 3. Turn right towards Newent on B4221. Turn right into the town High St at the traffic lights and follow the signs to the car park. Sat nav: GL18 1QE
(Stallholders please note, you will NOT be able to access the town from this side either in the morning or the evening. There will be a one-way system in operation and entry to the town will be from the Gloucester road end.)
Charges
Entry to the Fayre is free.
Car Parking:- £3 for cars, which includes a programme (£1 to buy separately)
Coach Parking:- £10
Public Transport
There are regular bus services to and from Gloucester(132,32), Ross-on-Wye (32), and Ledbury(132).
During the period of street closure the bus stop for all buses will be outside The Holts Health Centre in Watery Lane.
Disabled Parking
Parking for Blue Badge holders is available close to the Fayre. Enter the town from the Ross side of town (access to disabled car park is not possible from the Gloucester side, you will need to continue around the town on the by-pass and turn left into town at the traffic lights). As you travel down the High St from the traffic lights you will see the signs for disabled parking straight in front of you. Marshals will be available to direct you.
